Clarissa Russell
Slade Dip. Fine Art. ATD. Lon Univ.

Clarissa enjoys experimenting with a variety of media and the versatility of technique is a constant progressive development of her work. Light, line and colour have been a lifelong passion which is expressed in a variety of subject matter. Her work is mainly representational.

Inspired by her surroundings whether it is the vibrant energy of London, the gentle beauty of the Hampshire countryside with its clear, chalk streams, or the colour and light of the Baroque architecture in Catania in the Sicilian series, Clarissa captures in various media, the atmosphere of an arrested moment in Time.

She was an elected member of the Society of Floral Painters and has won awards, having exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Pastel Society, including galleries mainly in the south of England and Sweden. She was one of the leaders for the Big Draw and is regularly invited to give demonstrations and workshops as well as teaching, exhibiting and accepting commissions.
