Medium: Pyrograph, Collage and Found Objects
Size: 48 x 48cm
Inspired by a walk in the Forest with a guide in Peru, in the basin of the Amazon. He stopped frequently to show us the tiny details, the bark, the leaf structure, the ants, the trapdoor spider; I remember these like tiny snapshots, and how well this fits into the small wooden rings. By contrast the ridged paper, burned and scorched is reminiscent of the trees, old, gnarled and sometimes dead.
