This work looks at the importance of Chesil Bank, which protects the water meadows from the sea at Abbotsbury. This stretch of wetland is home to Mute Swans and numerous small reed dwelling birds. If Chesil Bank was removed, or eroded all that would be left would be the dead reeds and the echo of the reed warbler.
